Wasn’t there money in a recent bill that provided money for the border that was voted down by Republicans?

We can afford to borrow money to secure the borders of other countries since we don’t have a border of our own.

How much of the other countries is actually going for the weapons and the needs of the people? How much is going into the pockets of someones person agenda?

Summers decides to again weaponize and LIE about another ‘issue’.

Trump informed the MAGAt Party that he did not want the Border Bill, Johnson declared it DOA. If Johnson allows debate and a vote, it will pass. It would dramatically improve the border situation. MAGAs do not want that.

They want only an ‘issue’ to weaponize and LIE about.

Then why don’t republican congress reps make a bill allocating more money for the border?

The position of the GOP, courtesy of their candidate for president who needs an issue, be very, very scared of the “invasion”. NO ONE is being stopped!!! Pay no attention that humans have migrated through out history. Pay no attention to the fact that our border has always had people going back and forth for economic opportunity. Pay no attention to the fact that apprehensions at the SW border were 14.7% higher in 2020 than in Obama’s last year, 2016 (does that mean Obama "solved the crisis and Trump screwed it up?)Pay no attention that the asylum laws are from post-WWII and need to be modernized. Pay no attention to the contributions of all migrants to our society. Pay no attention that as “ChristopherBurns” says above, steps can be made NOW to mitigate the “crisis” and the seeming goal of 0 migration is patently absurd. JUST BE VERY, VERY SCARED!!!

House Republicans were ORDERED by Trump to drop the subject and not take up the Senate bill—the one that was negotiated between the parties.

Biden will draft all fighting age illegal to go fight in Ukraine and Gaza. That way, he can say, “We have no US troops on the ground.”

Republicans in the House drew up a list of demands to solve the border problem. It was very comprehensive, expensive, but sure to make a bad situation a whole lot better. Then they sat back and smirked at their “owning the liberals’” move..

The Democrats reacted by accepting the things they asked for, lock, stock and barrel. Which would have been a huge step toward actually governing. So, did the Republicans celebrate their victory? NO, BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T WANT TO SOLVE ANY PROBLEMS IN THE FIRST PLACE.If they actually governed, it would make Biden look good. THEY JUST WANTED AN ISSUE FOR TRUMP TO RUN ON, and Biden isn’t giving them any. .And, in addition to helping Putin with Ukraine, the Republicans are sabotaging aide to Israel and helping destroy our commitments to the Southern border – a solid “trifecta” of support for Putin and Russia – do republicans support ANY American aims and values these days? It sure doesn’t seem like it…

Instead, they constantly scream that the border is OPEN whenever a Democrat is president, and claim it’s all under control when a Republican is president. (It’s OKAY If A Republican Does It). They do not pass, or even propose legislation. The ONLY solution they believe in, is The Wall, that they believe Mexico will pay for.

It is again, government by bumper sticker.

MAGA-GOP voted down comprehensive immigration reform. Again. 2014, now 2023. If there was border reform the GOP would have nothing to run on, so they raise their collective middle fingers to the American people. Again. Still.

How about infrastructure?? Here is a crazy idea, allow some more people in the country and have them help build up our infrastructure for all to use, More workers equals more taxes. More goods and services will be brought by these new workers.

Border problems addressed, GOP has nothing to run on. No ideas, no honesty, no decency, no morals. Just hate. Hate any non-white, non-Christian, non-males. It is a simple way to live.
